Whether you know your Bible or not, I bet you have heard these words from Ecclesiastes chapter 3.
“To everything there is a season
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep”
The band, The Byrds, made these words famous in their 1965 song, but I heard these words when I was in the middle of nowhere in 2006. I was on a mission trip to Africa and it was my turn to share the morning devotion. God put these words in my heart and I realized that I had experienced all of these things in the two weeks that I was Kenya. It wasn’t until several years later that He guided me to write my first book, “A Time for Every Purpose Under Heaven,” a memoir about that life-changing trip.
I’ve learned through these experiences that all things do happen in God’s time. I have always wanted to be an author and a public speaker, but God chose this time in my life to allow those things to happen for me.
I’m glad that this is the time for you to find my website. I hope that you will find things here which will speak to your own life.
